Eradicating Tuberculosis by the year 2030 from India?

MOU is signed on last day of the 10th Global Healthcare Summit by American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin to work on eradicating Mycobacterium Tuberculosis strain from India.

Understanding and community learning from global successes towards handling the disease successfully will be sole focus to implement the agreement. With world’s highest number of cases of TB and 300,000 deaths every year, the results are not going to be visible overnight and require multilevel efforts from all participants. TB free India vision is achievable by universal access and by provision of quality diagnosis and treatment for all TB patients in the community. More emphasis will be made to communicate in regional language to urban and rural population of country on Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) control initiative implemented by the Government of India.

Awareness will be created by this program to provides, various free of cost, quality tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment services across the country through the government health system. This guideline is developed on basis of International guidelines and standards.
