Life as a single dad

The most common challenge about life as a single dad is finding yourself omitted from key social events. Single Fathers may need to put in more effort to develop the same parental network. Seeing Dads in a two parental role, children don’t understand the struggle faced by a single father in raising them. Men have this predetermined notion that they have to be tough. When they are young they will express their love innocently. As they grow they will hide their feelings. They accept naturally to show love and to be courageous. Dads’ make sure to show his son which battles are worth fighting like for family or his favorite sports team. Teaching him that there are moments when it is okay to be absolutely ridiculous. Dads’ teach him that he shouldn’t throw punches to prove he is right and understand how to demand respect. It is the most rewarding attempt to raise a child from putting a school bag together every morning to do homework and finding balance with his work life.


As a man he is supposed to be strong and run on testosterone. He don’t feel to tell his child if he is in financial trouble because of the embarrassment, may be it is male thing, you want to do the best for your child even if you cannot afford it. For men it is not natural for comforting and nurturing a child in common but varies based on individual personality. The biggest challenges he has to accept is that you cannot compete with two parent families, the most difficult task of being a single dad for a daughter is keeping up with the expectations that your daughter will have as she passes the different stages of life.
